Grow Credit

Grow Credit had a growth opportunity hiding in plain sight.

The brand was originally focused on Gen Z, but the data showed that older millennials were driving the strongest business value. They were registering, opening accounts, converting into paid memberships, and showing stronger long-term value.

I helped shift the strategy toward the audience already proving demand through action.

The work focused on repositioning the brand around trust, clarity, education, and practical credit-building progress, then building campaigns and reporting systems around the customers driving the business forward.

Audience Repositioning

Grow Credit was originally focused on Gen Z, but the strongest performance came from older millennials, ages 28–38.

This audience had higher conversion, stronger lifetime value, and a clearer reason to care. They were actively looking for a practical way to build or repair credit.

That insight shaped the rebrand, messaging, and growth strategy.

Messaging Strategy

The brand needed to move away from broad financial app language

The goal was to make the value obvious faster. People needed to understand what Grow Credit did, why it mattered, and why they could trust it.

Lifecycle
Growth

Lifecycle and re-engagement campaigns were built in Braze to move users from registration to account open and paid membership.

The strategy used push notifications and a series of drip email campaigns to reinforce product value, reduce hesitation, and keep the credit-building benefit clear throughout the customer journey.

Creator and Partner Growth

Creator, influencer, affiliate, and partner campaigns helped expand acquisition across app, web, and DTC channels.

The partner strategy connected Grow Credit with trusted financial brands, adjacent fintech audiences, and recognizable consumer subscriptions, including FICO, Wells Fargo, Mastercard, Acorns, Rocket Money, Esusu, Disney+, and Netflix.

The goal was to build a stronger acquisition system around partners and services customers already recognized and trusted.
