Grow Credit
Grow Credit had a brand positioning opportunity hiding in plain sight.
The brand had originally been built around Gen Z, but customer behavior revealed a disconnect between the audience Grow Credit was speaking to and the people finding the most value in the product. Older millennials were registering, opening accounts, converting to paid memberships, and showing stronger long-term engagement.
I helped reposition the brand around the audience already demonstrating the strongest connection to the product.
The rebrand focused on making Grow Credit feel more trustworthy, clear, and approachable while simplifying how the product communicated credit building and financial progress. The goal was to move the brand beyond a youthful fintech aesthetic and create an identity that felt more relevant to customers actively looking for a practical way to improve their credit.
Audience insights informed the brand direction, messaging, creative strategy, and customer experience, creating a more focused identity built around trust, education, clarity, and progress.

Audience Repositioning
Grow Credit was originally focused on Gen Z, but the strongest performance came from older millennials, ages 28–38.
This audience had higher conversion, stronger lifetime value, and a clearer reason to care. They were actively looking for a practical way to build or repair credit.
That insight shaped the rebrand, messaging, and growth strategy.
Messaging Strategy
The brand needed to move away from broad financial app language and communicate its purpose with greater clarity.
The messaging strategy focused on making Grow Credit’s value easier to understand at a glance: what the product does, how it helps customers build credit, and why they could trust the brand to guide them through the process.
The result was a clearer, more approachable brand voice centered around trust, education, simplicity, and tangible financial progress.
Customer Journey
I translated the new brand direction into a more cohesive customer journey across email and push.
I developed lifecycle and re-engagement campaigns in Braze that guided users from registration through account opening and paid membership, ensuring the rebrand showed up consistently beyond the core visual identity.
I shaped the messaging, campaign structure, and customer touchpoints around the brand’s key principles: clarity, trust, education, and steady financial progress. The goal was to make each interaction feel intentional, reinforce the value of the product, and create a more unified experience across the customer journey.
Brand Partnerships
I helped expand Grow Credit’s brand presence by developing creator, affiliate, and strategic partnership opportunities across digital channels.
I focused the partnership strategy on aligning Grow Credit with recognizable brands and platforms that already carried credibility with the audiences we wanted to reach. This included relationships and campaigns involving FICO, Wells Fargo, Mastercard, Acorns, Rocket Money, Esusu, Disney+, and Netflix.
Rather than treating partnerships purely as acquisition channels, I used them to strengthen brand trust, increase visibility, and position Grow Credit within a broader ecosystem of established financial and consumer brands.
The result was a more credible and connected brand experience built around names and services customers already knew and trusted.
